Satiacja semantyczna | Semantic satiation, 2026

The title of the work refers to a psychological phenomenon where a word or phrase, when constantly repeated, begins to lose its meaning. In this way, film addresses the inner conflict driven by the need to become desensitized to world news.

The film is accompanied by an installation consisting of two chairs. The viewer is encouraged to watch the projection while sitting in one of the chairs, arranged more like seats on a tram or train than in a cinema—placed close to the television, facing each other. Thus, the viewer experiences the film while simultaneously dealing with the presence—or absence—of another person. They are forced to decide whether the film or the person opposite them remains in their peripheral vision.
